Backgrounder for CAP Powley Implementation Project
![]() | Currently, OCAP is in the process of submitting a proposal for the Powley Implementation Project. The Powley Implementation Project identifies Métis who have descended from a historic Métis community that harvested in a particular area over many generations. This will then make them eligible to exercise the Métis rights to hunt, fish, trap and gather food in that area. If successful, we will be doing community consultations across Ontario regarding harvesting and to seek the grass roots people's input regarding harvesting. |
